Parody of Czech Television in the series Dobré ráno, Brno! as a modern form of television entertainment
Straka, Tomáš ; Kruml, Milan (advisor) ; Štoll, Martin (referee)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the television series "Dobré ráno, Brno!" produced by Czech Television. The series serves as a parody of the original show "Dobré ráno", which is broadcast on weekdays and aims to provide "a morning dose of information and music, accompanied by interesting guests and tips". Czech Television has created a series that daringly parodies not only itself as a significant institution, including its employees, but also the television industry as a whole. The series allows for the analysis of key concepts of television entertainment, such as the use of parody, satire, humour, and hyperbole. The aim of this thesis is to determine the nature of parody in the series "Dobré ráno, Brno!" in relation to Czech Television and to examine how the series contributes to a greater genre diversity in television entertainment, particularly in the areas of parody, satire, and humour. The research method selected for this study is semiotic analysis, with an emphasis on the analysis of meanings on the level of denotation and connotation following the approach of Roland Barthes. The detailed semiotic analysis includes analysis of dialogues and verbal signs, examination of sound design, and the overall mise-en-scène analysis, including the analysis of individual characters, costumes,...

It qualitatively examines the themes, mechanics and audio-visual aspects of both genres and then compares them. Furthermore, the work discusses the history of educational games and their shortcomings, which are related to the significant expansion of parodies in the 90s. By looking up and appraising musical-theological elements at Bach's work this thesis brings near to the reader the theological, philosophical and mystic thinking of Bach. By pre-understanding and complexity of perception of Bach's church music is possible to see deep sense and aim of artist's work. In the first (theoretical) part I am engaged in systems of thinking that could Bach's church work influence. Then I am specifying the pieces that are supposed to be church music. In the second (practical) part I am looking for musical- theological elements that could Bach be influenced with. By researching of Bach's artistic style I am trying to find correlation of musical and theological contents and I am trying to point out that the message of Bach's church work is relevant.

Pop-cultural Symbols in Visual Publicism in Tenth years of the Twenty-first Century In Pictures by Teo Adamy
Dvořáková, Anna ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Láb, Filip (referee)
AbstractAbstractAbstractAbstract This thesis presents one of the first attempts to uncover and analyze the phenomenon of immediately apparent digital photomontage born and developed in the context of the Czech internet, that does not attempt to simulate a photographic reproduction of reality, but instead to regularly comment on political events of the Czech Republic. Using an analysis of photomontages of Teo Adamy (aTeo), the thesis explores their specific hybrid means of expression and the methods through which it completely fulfills the essence of pictorial commentary. Besides describing the creative basis and inspirational founts of the montage artist, it also provides an in-depth insight into the category of the so-called pseudofilm, a specific part of aTeo's internet production, that consists of photomontages feeding off the medium of film, using meaningful parallels in film stories and pop-cultural film references, or even directly inserts chosen political representatives into well-known film scenes and thus draws upon universal mythological structures activated by popular films. The Pseudofilm category is then subjected to a detailed analysis, whose output is a comprehensive description of aTeo's fictionally-realistic film-political photomontage and an understanding of specific features of its...

"Fake profiles" in this case mean those where authors are acting as a well-known person, company or institution. The authors mostly found these to entertain themselves and readers. They use satire, parody, and often sarcasm as well. After a general introduction to the topic, which includes, among other things, the introduction of social networks, including the regulation they take for the protection of personality, the main part follows. It analyzes 8 different Czech false profiles. The content of the posts, the account statistics, the most successful posts and possibly other related information are presented. An important part of the work are interviews with authors of these profiles as well as with counterparts, real people or companies. This offers a close look at the backstage of the creation and running of the profile and, on the other hand, the possibility to ascertain the reaction of the concerned party. The next section was included in order to bring a wider view of the issue. It is devoted to similar profiles abroad, which gives the possibility of comparison of the local and international environment. The thesis ends with a chapter devoted to the situations when the content of false profiles is used...
